JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Machine Operator will perform duties related to glass cutting, tempering, and handling in accordance with customer orders. All Machinist\'s will be responsible for learning and working all facility machine stations as required safely and productively. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Work is physical in nature requiring ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis (sometimes overhead) -Responsible for operation of cutting, edging/seaming machines. Must produce a finished product within standard tolerance. -Must have the ability to set up, operate and perform basic maintenance on all machines (cutter) within the department -Pre-stage raw material (glass) according to work orders and place finish product in appropriate staging areas in accordance with established glass handling guidelines -Gripping, cupping and clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry and maneuver glass/objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and others -Responsible for maintaining work area, inventory control, quality control in relation to the other product being assembled, and meeting production needs set by management -MUST be dependable, hardworking, pro-active in performing assigned duties, ability to make sound decisions related to safety and have multi-task capabilities -Ability to perform repetitive work in a fast paced production environment -Ability to be cross-trained to perform job duties of other work stations -Perform other duties as assigned ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
