Aston Carter Corporate Accountant in Neenah, Wisconsin

Corporate Accountant

Duties:

  • Prepare and complete financial transactions (AR/AP/GL/Fixed Assets/Interco/Address Book/Banking etc.) timely and accurately according to accounting processes and procedures. Respond and resolve operational issues arise and ensure stakeholders' requirements are met.

  • Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy, extraordinary or unusual items.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements.

  • Manage Insurance and Government surveys.

  • Become a subject matter expert in Residential Leasing.

  • Prepare weekly and month end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances.

  • Work on special continuous improvement projects as requested to resolve problems or generate productivity improvement.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Accounting Degree/CPA

  • 2 of the 5 items listed

  • Private/Public Accounting- Open to either route

  • Programs/Systems: Lease Query, Blackline (account reconciliation), JDE, W-Desk (SOX compliance), Cognos Controller (Consolidation)

  • Excel/Google Sheets
