Summary You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the Supply Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will be responsible for all assigned work pertaining to the material support required of their assigned project. You will be the primary contact for assigned projects, performing liaison with the supply chain. You will develop and execute the planning and coordination of complex acquisition plans for the assigned project(s). You will be responsible for material activities within the area of ordering, expediting and receiving waterfront material to support their assigned project(s). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing knowledge of DEA, FDA, DLA, and DoD Controlled Substance Surveillance regulations. Experience applying specialized methods and techniques to operate effectively and efficiently in all aspects of industrial material, project and inventory management programs and/or operations. Experience serving as supply chain liaison for an agency or within private industry, ensuring material is ordered, expedited, and received to support production schedules. Experience developing and executing the planning and coordination of complex acquisition plans for assigned project(s). Experience developing guidance for applying material management policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to various degrees or levels of supply controls.
