Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will develop cost estimates for a defined scope of work. You will create estimate packages to document cost estimate, construction schedule, quantity takeoff plans, work scheduling, or tracking of work in progress. You will collaborate with offices to keep them abreast of progress and outcomes for contracting or acquisition issues. You will develop contract plans (e.g., product acquisition, contract strategies, cost estimation) for program acquisition requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing cost-estimating support in facility construction projects for new construction, renovation and improvement projects; 2) Developing construction cost estimates for military construction projects at various stages during planning, design, and construction process; 3) Developing construction costs by analyzing labor and material requirements for projects, utilizing cost estimating principles, concepts, policies; and 4) Analyzing contractor bids to develop recommendations for construction award or rejection of bids. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Several vacancies may be filled.
