Naval Supply Systems Command SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (INVENTORY) in Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida

Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician (INVENTORY) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will execute physical inventories and location survey of Navy Stock Account (NSA), Aviation Depot Level Repairable (AVDLR) and other material/product on the Supply Officers records. You will input inventory counts to Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) program and receive computer generated inventory summaries for analysis. You will prepare necessary computer inputs to extract physical inventory aids, establish opening and closing dates for physical inventories, conduct physical counts of material, and prepare adjustment inputs. You will perform causative research for inventory discrepancies, this requires technical working knowledge of inventory management, receipt processing, excessing, aviation support procedures, receiving and warehousing. You will make determinations independently of the basis for overages, shortages, misplaced items by checking receipts, issues, storage documents, records in Material Division, Aviation Support Division or other audit trails. You will develop and/or refine special procedures, systems and methods as required to improve services related to supply operations with particular emphasis on improving stock record accuracy and security of stock material. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing supply work which requires the knowledge of policies, procedures, and techniques of inventory management in order to determine physical inventory and location requirements. You have experience utilizing automated supply and inventory databases to conduct investigations. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and preparing physical inventory schedules, quality assurance, and location surveys utilizing automated supply databases; 2) Conducting causative research investigations and analysis to determine the cause of inventory discrepancies while maintaining records and preparing reports; 3) Coordinating and conducting scheduled inventory, and location surveys to minimize disruption of operations and ensure accuracy of inventory or location audit; 4) Inputting inventory counts into Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) application and generating inventory summaries supporting NAVSUP inventory accuracy program.
