Description We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team based in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia. This role involves the analysis and calculation of production costs, the development and implementation of efficient processes, and the maintenance of accurate inventory records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for job quoting, cost accounting, and invoice processing.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and calculate production costs to ensure accuracy and identify possible improvements

• Collaborate with the accounting team to develop and implement efficient procedures for inventory and material movement

• Verify and disburse expense reports in a timely manner

• Assist in physical inventory counts and cycle counting processes to maintain accurate inventory records

• Monitor inventory transactions to ensure their timely and accurate completion

• Own the sales order quoting process in collaboration with sales and supply chain teams

• Develop quotes from standard costs, including labor and approved markup, and communicate these to the sales team

• Accurately enter invoice data into the accounting system and verify the accuracy of invoices against purchase orders and contracts

• Ensure proper authorization and allocation for each payment

• Assist with the month-end close and perform additional duties as assigned to support the accounting department and overall company objectives Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Ability to generate and interpret Crystal Reports

• Experience with Epicor software

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in Auditing techniques

• Experience with Budget Processes

• Ability to manage Cash Activity
