If you are a MANUFACTURING AND OPERATIONS professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland/Alliance Compressors has an exciting opportunity for you based in NATCHITOCHES, LA ! You will lead operations and be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of shipping and receiving, forklift drivers, as well as other employee functions within the shipping and receiving areas to ensure efficient and high-quality production within the Warehouse and or factory. This role involves managing the daily operations of customer shipments, Single pack line, consolidation areas and receiving, optimizing productivity, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

AS AN MATERIAL TEAM LEADER, YOU WILL:

  • Supervise and manage the activities of all workers to ensure smooth production operations, adherence to schedules, and achievement of production targets.

  • Review all paperwork /processes for accuracy and coordinate timely outbound deliveries with CSR’s to maximize customer satisfaction with on time delivery.

  • Work with analyst to maintain inventory accuracy by means of auditing and correct use of scan guns.

  • Responsible for the inventory management process including cycle counts and adjustments.

  • Controls costs on supplies and labor.

  • Monitor and maintain production line efficiency, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, disruptions, and inefficiencies to ensure optimal productivity in all areas.

  • Train, mentor, and develop team members, guiding best practices, work procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.

  • Enforce safety protocols, ensuring that all workers follow established safety guidelines and promoting a culture of safety awareness.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with, opposite shift Team Lead, as well as maintenance, engineering, and quality to address production challenges and optimize processes using Lean Daily Management.

  • Lead daily shift meetings to communicate safety, production targets, quality expectations, and any relevant updates to the team.

  • Continuously promote a positive work environment by fostering teamwork, open communication, and employee engagement.

  • Maintain accurate production records, including production output, and downtime reasons for accurate End of Shift Reporting.

  • Other duties/projects as assigned by DC Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Two (2) year associate degree plus two (2 )years of experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities or over five (5+) years experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities.

  • Great computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word).

  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands.

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Four (4) year Bachelor's Degree in related field.

  • Two to five (2-5) years of experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing production challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.

  • Experience with KRONOS (timekeeping).
