Job Title: Lead Mechanic

Location: Natchitoches, LA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (10-12 hours/day, 50-60 hours/week)

Compensation: $25-30/hr. based on experience. Includes a $150 monthly tool allowance.

Join Waste Connections as a Lead Mechanic in Natchitoches, LA , and play a key role in keeping our fleet of garbage trucks in top working order. We are looking for a talented and experienced mechanic who excels in preventive maintenance, hydraulic and electrical repairs, parts replacement, and minor engine work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and maintenance to ensure diesel engines run efficiently.

• Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems, and handle minor engine repairs.

• Parts Replacement: Identify and replace worn or damaged parts promptly.

• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

• Perform other tasks as required to support fleet operations.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in diesel/heavy truck fleet maintenance

• ASE Certified is a plus.

• Class A or B CDL is a plus.

• Strong background in electrical repairs required

• Computer proficiency is a plus
