Robert Half System Administrator, Int in Nashville, Tennessee

Description We are seeking a System Administrator to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is centered around supporting server application tasks and providing minimal desktop support. The position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and is integral to our IT department’s success.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the IT team to install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues efficiently.

• Monitor application performance regularly to ensure availability and identify potential issues.

• Plan and execute software upgrades and updates.

• Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for applications.

• Implement and manage security measures to safeguard applications.

• Create and maintain documentation for application configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Provide remote support to users in different locations using remote desktop tools and technologies.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and operating systems on desktops and laptops when required.

• Use collaborative development tools and IT tracking systems for efficient workflow and issue tracking.

• Respond promptly to technical incidents and service requests from end-users. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in managing and maintaining servers and relevant upgrades

• Proven experience in IT security, networking, and configuration management

• Strong knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows OS

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders

• Strong documentation and planning skills, with a focus on implementing best practices

• Experience in providing deskside support and workstation support

• Ability to execute procedures and protocols effectively

• Experience in HR administration would be beneficial

• Proficiency in backup technologies and managing desktop hardware

• Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field is preferred
