Amazon Sr. Tech Product Mgr - DRIVE, On-Road Incident Management (ORIM) in Nashville, Tennessee
Description
Logistics Insurance and Claims is seeking a hands-on Sr. Technical Product Manager to join the On-Road Incident Management (ORIM) team within Last Mile. This role will focus on evolving the Data Repository for Incidents and Vehicle Events (DRIVE) into the central merge point and single source of truth for all on-road incident analytics across Amazon's Transportation network.
As the end-to-end owner of DRIVE's vision, strategy, and execution, you will play a crucial role in transforming incident management across Amazon's logistics network. Your work will directly impact the consistency, accuracy, and accessibility of incident data, enabling downstream case management, investigation, and prevention mechanisms.
We're looking for someone passionate about building data products, committed to making Amazon's deliveries incident-free, and willing to work hard for their customers. You'll collaborate across 5+ organizations to develop a centralized analytical platform for On-Road Incident Management.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead the evolution of DRIVE into a comprehensive source for on-road incident data and analytics, supporting critical decision-making processes across the organization.
• Develop and execute the product roadmap for DRIVE, ensuring it becomes the central merge point for all incident management data and processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and analytics teams in the development and implementation of Amazon Delivery's Transportation Incident Management Analytics Platform.
• Drive the adoption of standardized incident management practices across multiple teams and organizations, focusing on data consistency and quality throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Design and implement solutions that address defects in the end-to-end incident lifecycle, particularly at the points where multiple teams and organizations intersect.
• Regularly communicate product updates, strategic vision, and performance metrics to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams in the creation and delivery of data products, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market needs, and business goals.
• Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies that may impact the successful delivery of data products and solutions.
• Develop trusting relationships with partners and customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
A day in the life
As a Sr. Technical Product Manager for DRIVE, your day is dynamic and varied. You might start by analyzing user feedback and usage metrics, then lead a product review meeting to present new feature proposals. You'll collaborate closely with data engineers to refine algorithms and work with business analysts to define KPIs. Engaging with end-users to understand their needs, you'll also dive deep into incident data to investigate discrepancies. You'll coordinate with other product managers to ensure seamless system integration and prepare presentations for leadership on DRIVE's impact. Throughout the day, you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving, always focused on improving incident management and safety across Amazon's logistics network.
