We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager who is customer obsessed and able to innovate on behalf of its internal customers to join AIR's Global Fleet & Aviation Sourcing team.

This leader will oversee ground support equipment (GSE) procurement strategy while managing end-to end development of multiple critical ramp safety and innovation projects. The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to invent the ramp of the future through technological innovation and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a creative, critical thinker with knowledge of the aviation industry specifically related to ramp operations.

This position must be based in Bellevue, WA or Nashville, TN.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product development, including design, testing, and deployment of ramp equipment solutions

  • Devise, incubate, and scale innovative GSE initiatives to enhance safety and performance

  • Develop and manage comprehensive Total Cost of Ownership (TOC) models

  • Lead contract negotiations with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and manage vendor relationships

  • Author business cases in partnership with Engineering, Finance, Safety, Site Operations, and Learning teams

  • Drive continuous improvement through enhanced metrics, systems, and processes

  • Manage equipment lifecycle including production tracking, on-site delivery coordination, equipment transfer processes between sites, and documentation development with training/learning teams

  • Oversee safety initiatives including tracking incidents and collaborating with Safety team, leading cross-functional Safety Risk Analysis (SRA), analyzing Telematics data for equipment utilization and safety

  • Travel requirement: Up to 25% (primarily domestic with possible international)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

  • Experience within the aviation industry, preferably with ramp equipment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
