Job Summary and Qualifications
The AdvantageTrust Senior Strategic Account Director leads the Strategic Account Management team. This team is responsible for building and strengthening long term business partnerships with HealthTrust’s largest health system owned and independent non-acute members. The Senior Strategic Account Director directs the development and execution of both team and member-specific business plans to ensure strategic non-acute members and their suppliers have an outstanding experience with HealthTrust.
The success of the Senior Strategic Account Director is a metric driven leadership position focused on:
Servicing and maintaining strategic members: Responsible for developing and capturing the expected value plan and retaining Team’s strategic accounts
Optimizing the Strategic Account Management Team for growth: Provides leadership to improve the lifecycle management process of strategic accounts by increasing value and scalability, reducing cost, and ensuring succession and development of individual team members.
What you will do in this role:
Management of Team
Continually works to improve the Strategic Account Management Team and individual performance through Core Value and measures of reliability, transparency, competency, sincerity, fairness, and vulnerability
Oversee implementation projects, tasks, and workflows that are directly related to account health
Works with the Strategic Account Management team to collaborate with members to track and analyze financial data
Escalation point member, supplier, internal and other issues
Growth and Positioning
Leads the Strategic Account Management team in initiatives, modeling the main line support to HealthTrust IDNs
Formulates and leads as one point of contact for cross-business unit strategies and plans for the Strategic Account Management team and our largest independent members
Participates in HealthTrust Account team meetings and calls to establish account goals, identify actions to achieve goals, and monitor and manage execution
Develop direct reports for internal growth and excellence; is a steward of the highest and best use of talent through constantly documenting and improving business processes and overseeing the training of the team
Operations
Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one-to-three-year period that leads to a clear action plan for success
Maintain regular reporting cadence to the member and GPO leadership to ensure that all elements of implementation and supply chain expense management plans are being accomplished
Serve as an internal consultant, focused on evaluating and documenting process flow within teams and members. Identify gaps in sourcing, logistics, distribution, and workstreams
Coordinates the involvement of the vertical team (account managers, support services, technical resources, operations management, and leadership) to develop and articulate a strategic vision for members in order to meet account performance objectives and members’ expectations
Assimilates information from a variety of sources, analyzes relevant data, makes strategic recommendations, and executes a course of action for all elements of non-acute supply expense management
Works to coordinate HealthTrust resources to ensure that AdvantageTrust members are supported as effectively as possible, experiencing superior service that results in member loyalty and retention, as well as advocacy and promotion to prospective members
Maintain and promote change to processes that support collaboration between AdvantageTrust and HealthTrust around member and stakeholder experience improving quality, operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and member satisfaction
Account
Has leadership responsibility to develop and maintain a robust account plan and execute against that plan to identify opportunities for his/her teams’ accounts to improve operations and financial performance
Leads solution development efforts that best address member needs to drive value and savings to enhance their performance expanding HealthTrust’s penetration with members and driving growth
Serves as a trusted advisor to the member(s) s/he supports, engaging member executives regularly to help them achieve savings, improve performance, promote standardization, and eliminate waste in the supply chain function and other key areas of their enterprise
Establishes productive, professional, and consultative relationships with C-Suite and executive personnel throughout member organization, building credibility and trust through collaboration
Works directly with Strategic Account Management team to support their members' leadership and physicians to build strategic plans that align with member company goals and the economic success of the GPO contracts
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor's degree, required
Master’s degree, preferred
10+ years of experience in strategic account management with experience in managing large national and/or global brand relationships, required
7+ years of experience in market segment experience or successful record of accomplishment in strategic account management, required
5+ years of experience in managing and leading a team to successful outcomes and measurable objectives, required
5+ years of experience in supply chain management, operations and/or warehouse operations equivalent, required
5+ years of experience in sales, prospecting, conversion, or pipeline development, preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
