We are looking for a Senior Program Manager (L6) to lead our Heavy Bulky Carrier Strategy. This team leads planning and execution for NA Direct Fulfillment’s carrier capacity for AMXL and Heavy Bulky selection, determining services needed to provide services for thousands of vendors, drawing on Third Party and Amazon Logistics (1P) capacity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with partners in Amazon logistics business, Amazon Procurement, and 1P Carriers to align capacity to demand, with respect to origin location, size, special handling requirements, and speed expectations.

  • Own goals for Transportation Execution and provide visibility to key metrics through regular business reviews with internal stakeholders and Leaders (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Business Reviews).

  • Build alignment with internal and external transportation providers; negotiate and deliver incremental carrier capacity when needed to meet program volume, particularly for Prime week and Peak season.

A day in the life

The successful leader in this role will demonstrate the ability to leverage existing products and services while simultaneously exploring new offerings and business models.

You will: (1) Engage senior Operations and Retail leaders around a forward-looking strategic aspiration. (2) Explicitly hold the tension between the demands of innovation and the core business. (3) Embrace the ambiguity of multiple agendas in driving CX, cost and carrier capacity sourcing strategies.
