Starting Salary Range $36,354 - $49,165
Job Summary:The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) in a professional manner. Other responsibilities include performing a variety of entry-level clerical and administrative duties including receive, sort and deliver mail and packages to on-site and off-site locations.
Essential Job Duties:
- Serves as receptionist at the primary point of contact for the office including placing, answering, routing telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors.
- Answers customer inquires in person and via telephone.
- Validates parking tickets for visitors.
- Receives, sorts and delivers mail and packages to on-site and off-site locations.
- Safely operates a company motor vehicle following all safety regulations and state laws. Coordinates routine maintenance and reports necessary repairs to the Maintenance Department. Handles fueling process of vehicle.
- Schedules and maintains conference rooms.
- Administers petty cash and maintains records.
- Stocks supplies and performs other manual tasks.
- Daily bank visit to sign for and pickup documents for BNA and JWN.
- Identifies environmental hazards and addresses them in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Assists with entry-level clerical and administrative duties in various departments as needed.
- Follows all safety regulations.
- Maintain regular on-time attendance.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to demonstrate proper telephone etiquette.
- Ability to interact courteously with the public.
- Ability to perform entry level clerical and administrative work with accuracy.
- Ability to make accurate arithmetical computations, count money and make change.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to use various types of office equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate security awareness and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
- Skilled in the safe operation of a motor vehicle and maintaining a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
Qualifications:
Required:
- H.S. Diploma
- Less than 2 years of clerical/administrative experience.
- Valid CLASS D Driver's License
