Robert Half Network Administrator in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Administrator to join their IT team in Nashville, TN! In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of their network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).

  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and troubleshoot network issues.

  • Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.

  • Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Manage user accounts and access control on the network.

  • Document network configurations and procedures for future reference.

  • Stay up to date on the latest network technologies and best practices.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and concepts.

  • Proven experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, PingPlotter).

  • Experience with network security best practices and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs).

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Cisco CCNA (or equivalent)

  • Network+ or Security+ certification
