We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paralegal with a medical background to join this team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of medical terminology, exceptional research skills, and experience in handling personal injury and medical malpractice cases. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, empathetic, and fully invested in supporting our clients and attorney. This position will be with a small law firm based in Nashville, TN. They specialize in personal injury and Medical Malpractice.With a focus on providing personalized, compassionate, and thorough legal representation, their firm is committed to advocating for their clients' rights and achieving the best possible outcomes for their cases.

salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal and medical research to support personal injury and medical malpractice cases.

  • Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, reports, and other relevant documents.

  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.

  • Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and drafting trial briefs.

  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, medical professionals, and expert witnesses.

  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Assist in scheduling depositions, hearings, and other case-related meetings.

  • Provide compassionate support to clients, addressing their concerns and keeping them informed about the progress of their cases.
