Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Radiology Technologist is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department while performing high-quality diagnostic imaging exams. This role ensures efficient workflow, excellent patient care, and effective team management.

What you will do in this role:

• Provide oversight for daily operations in the diagnostic imaging department, including staff scheduling and workflow management.

• Assist the department manager in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and hiring decisions.

• Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet departmental productivity metrics.

• Coordinate and participate in service recovery by investigating and resolving customer concerns.

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams, adhering to established protocols and ensuring the highest quality of care.

• Cross-train and support imaging in various environments, including ED, OR, portables, fluoroscopy, and pediatrics.

• Educate and inform patients about procedures, ensuring their comfort and addressing any questions or concerns.

• Collect and provide accurate patient history and relevant information to radiologists.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment.

• Ensure all licenses, certifications, and accreditations are current and compliant with job requirements.

• Promote and exemplify the organization's ICARE values in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.

• Actively participate in quality improvement (QI) and performance improvement (PI) initiatives.

• Support after-hour departmental needs through participation in on-call rotations as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

• ARRT registered (R).

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to coordinate department operations effectively.
