Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY

Provides inspection, routine maintenance and repair to systems and equipment for which the HAR Shop has responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation, repair and maintenance of all aspects of the medical center:

• Supply, exhaust and return air systems including but not limited to, Fan Walls, centrifugal fans, vane-axial fans, etc.

• Water movement systems (excluding non-potable and non-drinking water systems).

• Life safety systems and Equipment safeties that control or are controlled by any systems listed in these Key Functions.

• Air volume control systems including but not limited to variable frequency drives, inlet vanes, variable sheaves, motors, etc. Air temperature control systems including but not limited to heat transfer coils, heat exchangers, electric resistance heating, etc. Air humidity control systems.

• Direct expansion heating and cooling equipment.

• Chilled water systems and their associated piping, valves, and fittings. Including but not limited to chillers, cooling towers, control valves, etc.

• Process water chemical treatment systems serving any of the systems described in these Key Functions. Process steam systems.

• Building automation control systems including but not limited to electronic DDC controls, pneumatic controls, etc.

• Medical gas bulk storage systems including but not limited to oxygen, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, helium, carbon dioxide, compressed air, etc. Medical air and medical vacuum production systems.

• Low temperature refrigeration systems.

• Environmental control chambers systems including but not limited to cold rooms, environmental growth chambers, etc.

• Steam distribution system including but not limited to pressure reducing equipment, piping, valves, converters, condensate pumps, steam traps etc.

• First responders to all:

• Medical center elevator service calls.

• Weekend and after-hours patient care television service calls.

• Non-HAR service calls when other trades journeymen are not on site.
