*[Emission Service Technician *[COMPANY OVERVIEW [Emission and Cooling Solutions (ECS) is a service provider and distributor of components for heavy duty diesel engines. ECS primarily services emission aftertreatment systems and engine cooling systems for Class 5-8 trucks, heavy machinery, and stationary power units. [Based in Nashville, Tennessee with multiple locations nationwide, ECS is a premier provider in the heavy-duty parts industry and features a brand synonymous with exceptional customer service and steadfast integrity.

**[POSITION OVERVIEW [The Emission Service Technician serves a critical function as a front-line service personnel in the diesel aftertreatment division. The diesel aftertreatment division at ECS is charged with servicing, repairing, and remanufacturing diesel engine emission components, namely diesel particulate filters (DPFs). [Technicians are tasked with processing engine components through ECSs different cleaning programs. Beginning with the prior days submissions, filters are weighed, catalogued, and cleaned using procedures designed to return the filters to like-new condition. In addition to cleaning filters, technicians are trained and charged with repairing damaged filters, building part kits, cataloguing stock, and maintaining shop equipment. This role is a full-time position and will report directly to the Shop Manager.

  • Check in and document all inbound parts utilizing ECS tablet and mobile application to ensure proper record keeping for data collection, the customers, and billing.
  • Perform any disassembly and/or cutting of components to prepare for cleaning and service.
  • Inspect components and identify parts which cannot be cleaned and require replacement.
  • Clean and process all filters using specialized equipment and ECS cleaning procedures.
  • Once capable, fix and weld any failed components that are damaged.
  • Identify and package parts with corresponding accessories (clamps and gaskets) per customer requests.
  • Assist, when necessary, with palletizing shipments for transfers or large order shipments.

Proactively compile and maintain clamp and gasket kit inventory.

Monitor packaging inventory amounts and communicate to shop manager when low.
