Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver robust and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using various tools and technologies.
Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage of large datasets.
Develop and maintain data models and schemas in Snowflake.
Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide them with access to clean and reliable data.
Utilize Azure cloud services for data storage, processing, and deployment.
Create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize data insights.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering trends and technologies.
Contribute to the development of data engineering best practices
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Proven experience with ETL processes and tools.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly related to data engineering (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage).
Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
Strong SQL skills.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
Experience with real-time data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
