Job Description

BAE Systems Electronic Systems (ES) sector is seeking candidates for an 8 month, full-time 2025 Co-Op, to join our ES Defense Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization. We have Co-Op positions for talented, up and coming electrical/computer or computer science engineers who want to work at a progressive company where technical excellence is highly valued.

The ITE organization s mission is to deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions, which are integrated, across all levels of test. As a Test Engineering Co-Op in Electronic Systems, you will develop your engineering skills while helping us protect the brave men and women in our armed forces, intelligence communities, and first responders. Electronic Systems (ES) develops advanced electronic solutions that are fielded on everything from Electronic Warfare (EW) mission systems to state of the art imaging, targeting, guidance, and survivability solutions to assist and protect the warfighter. Our products must work the first time and every time because people s lives depend on it.

Test Engineering Co-Ops work side-by-side with experienced developers and senior engineering staff. This Co-Op will be at BAE Systems in southern New Hampshire including Nashua, Hudson, and/or Merrimack locations. The Co-Op is a paid position and has a flexible 9/80 work schedule that includes every other Friday off.

Some of the responsibilities of a Test Engineering Co-Op II may include:

  • Support senior engineering personnel in the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental electrical and mechanical engineering principles, theories and techniques.

  • Support senior engineering personnel in the design and development of test software.

  • Develop and revise technical drawing packages based on examples and company standards.

  • Perform technical assignments of an investigatory, design, or test nature requiring limited analysis and evaluation, selection and application of basic engineering principles, theories and techniques.

  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, resolution, and implementation of change requests to update the test software/hardware that are critical to keep our production lines moving.

  • Prepare charts, diagrams, and reports expressing technical progress and accomplishments measured against specific plans.

  • Support of products ranging from component level to systems level analog, digital, optical, and RF units.

  • Hands-on support and use of test instrumentation, including, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, DC/AC Power Supplies, Waveform Generators, Digital Multimeters, etc.)

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Pursing a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM field.

  • Must have completed the equivalent of Sophomore year byJanuary of 2025.

  • Ability to research and apply engineering principles and theories to solve problems.

  • Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.

  • Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner.

  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

  • General familiarization with operating test instrumentation/lab equipment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $44660 - $60280

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
