A privately owned manufacturing company in southern Nashua is seeking an experienced Credit and Collections professional for a Credit & Collections Manager position.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the manufacturing industry, experience working with a global customer base and have a hands-on approach as its a small department of 3 people in credit/collections.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit limits

• Maintain and update customer records within our ERP system

• Oversee the process of creating new customer accounts

• Collaborate with sales and business unit managers to streamline credit management processes

• Develop and enforce compliance with internal policies and regulations related to credit management

• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure adherence to credit terms and minimize average DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)

• Negotiate with clients in non-payment cases and make recommendations to management regarding bad debt or write-offs

• Liaise with third party financial institutions to investigate and resolve any issues related to banking and payments

• Assist with the creation, evaluation, and collection of letters of credit and documentary credits

• Assist with the preparation of accurate weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts and contribute to month-end reports and year-end audit reviews

• Oversee a small team, ensuring they are effectively trained and managed.

Compensation is dependent on experience but likely would not go higher than $125k salary.

Requirements

• Experience as a Credit Manager or Senior Credit professional in a manufacturing environment

• Strong system skills -- experience with large ERPs, able to utilize Excel formulas/pivot tables

• Hands-on approach as a Manager
