Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Hiring for 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio and is a brownfield plant start-up. The facility will be a Dana final assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products. Job Summary: Quality Technician will be responsible for reviewing, investigating, dispositioning, and resolving non-conforming material issues. Perform testing, gather data, and analyze results of product testing and process monitoring. Use statistical tools to analyze data and identify and recommend corrective actions as necessary to improve process capability. Participate in continuous improvement projects. Use documentation systems to research information and generate change requests by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Maintain clean and safe working environment, observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials according to company policies. Coordinate and report lab and sorting activities. Conduct component inspections for incoming material and modify work instructions asneeded. Monitor final inspections, safe launch inspectionsand modify work instructions asneeded. Issue Corrective Action Requests for non-conforming material to component suppliers. Conduct problem solving activities including 5D/8D. Conduct and report calibration of site equipment, gages, masters and instruments as required. Co-ordinate GR&R activities. Participate or lead change management activities. Prepare,report, and submit capability data reports. Conduct, report and maintain various testing activities including weld testing, part layout, contamination testing, paint testing, poka-yoke validations, and equipment validations. Review or repair and reportscrap generated from suppliers or value streams. Operate CMM,use gages and other measuring devices. Support training activities. Support and conduct auditing activities. Serve on teams or committees as needed. Create Quality Alerts, monitor alerts for conformances, ensure expired quality alerts are removed. Perform Dock Audit inspections. Obtain and maintain Forklift and PIV license. Perform required Rework/Repairs and disposition. Co-ordinate third party sort activities. Quality Core Tools certifications.
