3rd Shift Machine Operator $23 hour

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Worker responsible for operating and understanding packaging machinery, including palletizers, strapping machines, wrapping machines, forklifts, and overflow of production. The role involves performing short cycle, repetitive, and control operations of equipment, maintaining set patterns of products to attain high-quality output, inspecting for quality defects, performing minor adjustments to machinery, and maintaining standard production objectives and housekeeping of assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate and understand packaging machinery, including palletizers, strapping machines, wrapping machines, forklifts, and production overflow.

• Perform short cycle, repetitive, and control operations of equipment.

• Maintain set patterns of products to attain high-quality output.

• Inspect products for quality defects.

• Perform minor adjustments to machinery.

• Maintain standard production objectives.

• Ensure housekeeping of assigned areas is maintained.

Essential Skills

• Industrial or manufacturing experience of 2+ years.

• Must have experience with plastics or blow molding

• Experience in production, general labor, general production, packaging, inspection, hand tool usage, packing, machine operating, loading, forklift operation, and assembly.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull over 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for 12 hours.

• Willingness to learn how to drive a forklift and obtain certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must wear steel-toed shoes and hearing protection.

• Potential requirement for eye, hand, and head protection in certain areas.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large manufacturing and packaging operation. The facility offers gated parking lots and badge access to the building. The shifts follow an A, B, C, D 2-2-3 schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM. Breaks and lunches are provided within these times.
