*Responsibilities: *The athletic trainer carries out assessment, recognition, prevention, and treatment of athletic injuries upon referral. The athletic trainer performs duties and services as listed in the "Henry County Hospital Athletic Training Contract" agreed upon with specified school districts. The athletic trainer may assist the physical therapist and physical therapy assistant in direct patient care and treatment in the outpatient setting as permitted per the Ohio Revised Code. The athletic trainer provides services within the scope of practice in medical settings throughout the hospital where athletic training services are deemed needed. The athletic trainer assists the department manager in general policies and procedures carried out in the department and in the school setting.

*Requirements: *A current Ohio Athletic Training License, bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited professional athletic training program and BLS certification is required. Prior work experience as an athletic trainer in both an outpatient and school setting is preferred.
