The Scrum Master will be responsible for leading and managing the agile transformation including training, coaching other team members and scrum teams.

How you will make an impact

• Be the Scrum Master for a few small teams of cross functional software professionals. Do whatever it takes to help the team create value and get to Done.

• Helping establishes empirical product planning for a complex environment;

• Make project schedules and dependencies transparent.

• Helping find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management;

• Coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality;

• Helping the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done;

• Causing the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress;

• Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.

• Increasing the Scrum Teams’ focus on the Patient.

What you'll need (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field

• 8 years of hands on experience managing projects of increasing complexity

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Experience specifically playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years on a product development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.

• Advanced Scrum Master certifications - Professional Scrum Master II or III (PSMII or III) or similar

• At least 8 years of hands on software product development experience

• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Modern Requirements for ADO, Test Plan management in ADO

• Diverse knowledge of agile mindsets; an ability to guide and coach the Scrum Team in self-management to fill the intentional gaps of the Agile/Scrum frameworks.

• Excellent Leadership skills; with a proven track record of assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization

• Excellent communication skills; Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information

• Experience within a regulated environment

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For Illinois, the base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $167,000 (highly experienced).
