About the Position

We are seeking a candidate who is willing to work in the field, is a professional communicator, and is capable of reading plans and specifications to provide complete and working mechanical systems. Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay is $25-$35 depending on experience

  • Medical, vision and dental insurance coverage is available on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

  • 401K match on eligible wages and available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee’s eligible wages.

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the new pipe is cut, threaded, and assembled, placing the assembled pipe in hangers or other supports.

  • Cut or drill holes in walls or floors to accommodate the passage of pipes.

  • Assist in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping for various systems.

  • Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools.

  • Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.

  • Mount brackets and hangers on walls and ceilings to hold pipes and set sleeves or inserts to provide support for pipes.

  • Fit and glue large-diameter pipe.

    Location & commitments

  • Project Location - Nampa, Idaho

  • Full-time hours plus overtime as needed through winter. Additional jobs have been secured in the Treasure Valley area providing employees with stable, consistent work.

  • 8–10-hour shifts

  • Overtime may be available

    Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a mechanical pipefitter, working on various mechanical systems

  • Stand / walk for 8+ hours per day

  • Frequent use of stairs, ramps, ladders and stools

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly

  • Extended periods of overhead work

  • Current and valid driver’s license, free of any major violations

  • Knowledge and understanding of how to read plans and drawings with basic math skills to assist ground personnel with cuts and fills

  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions

  • Pre-employment drug testing required

  • Criminal background check required

  • Adhere to all safety requirements

  • Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity
