Sea Captains House has been a favorite of the Grand Strand for over 60 years. We are a high-volume, fast-paced, oceanfront restaurant with an award-winning kitchen that is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team!

Kitchen Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to all standards/regulations of DHEC
• Achieving profitable, competitive, and quality products
• Assisting the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef with all interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training of back of the house employees
• Scheduling and managing the maintenance and sanitation of all kitchen equipment in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Assisting in monitoring, analyzing, and controlling all labor and food costs to ensure achieving budget standards
• Educating employees on the Accident Prevention Program to minimize injuries
• Assisting Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in the creation, costing and implementation of seasonal and special menus
• Assist in the ordering and inventory of all food and kitchenware
• Performing special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
• Work with FOH managers to ensure the highest guest satisfaction and optimal experience
• Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

• Experienced Kitchen Employment - minimum 2 years in kitchen management is required
• Experience in a high volume restaurant
• Knowledge of DHEC policies is required
• ServeSafe Certified is a plus, but not required
• Must be a team player
• Able to follow recipes
• Performs well in a fast pace environment
• Accustomed to working multiple stations
