Work shift: 8:00am-4:30pm; work schedule: variable, including weekends

Job Summary: Coordinates and provides recreational activities for specified programs within Saint Francis.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Certification as an Activity Coordinator preferred.

Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Present a professional image. Requires minimal supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The Activity Coordinator will create and handle logistics for daily and weekly activities in an effort to engage patients. Activities shall be within a patient's achievable capabilities, but not too simple. Organize activities that are tailored to the needs of the individuals, and group activities to bring patients together. Provides documentation by maintaining appropriate treatment records.

Decision Making: Independent judgement in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.

Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise).. Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal / external customers. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
