Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace operates three cutting edge manufacturing facilities in the Muskegon area. Our plants are home to high performance teams who are creating quality High Pressure Turbine Nozzles, Low Pressure Turbine Nozzles and Shrouds for use in commercial and military aircraft engines. The manufacturing processes we use include High Speed Grinding, Brazing / Heat Treat, In-machine deburr, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) such as Conventional, Speed Drills, CNC and Wire as well as Ultrasonic Cleaning and VPA Coating.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Production Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating capable product plans that translate to build plans and driving alignment across multiple divisions. This role is responsible for master scheduling all finished goods and balancing customer demand, rough cut capacity plans, readiness assessments, and key resource capacity elements to generate production and inventory plans.

This role requires a deep understanding of production constraints, supply chain delivery and operations, and the ability to lead diverse teams to aligned decisions. This role is responsible for driving clarity and visibility to accurate production plans in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

This position is located onsite at our Muskegon, MI plant.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Build Plan Generation:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive engine and assembled spares build plans

  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs

  • Drive alignment and collaboration across multiple divisions to meet production goals

Build Plan Maintenance and Production Support:

  • Maintain and update build plans in Oracle planning environment to reflect changes in production schedules and priorities

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems

  • Prepare and update production schedules and raw material needs

  • Manage the S&OP change process and oversee MRP management in Oracle

Supply S&OP Cycle Ownership:

  • Communicate changes in customer demand and product status to senior management

  • Ensure alignment of production plans to supply chain needs and set unit volume targets

Constraint Validation:

  • Assess the impact of multiple constraints on total line output and escalate critical constraints to appropriate stakeholders for resolution

  • Make informed assessments of total line output considering various constraints

  • Visualize constraints to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and mitigate constraints

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of planning, materials, delivery, fulfillment or related supply chain experience)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Adept knowledge of Oracle/Excel

  • Experience working with production constraints and their impact on product line output
