Test Engineer

The Musco R&D Team is currently seeking a Test Engineer to work from our Oskaloosa office. This position will focus on conducting testing requirements for engineering. In addition, assisting in the preparation of plans, scripts, measures, and other items needed for testing while ing company and industry standards. What you will do as a Test Engineer:

  • Implements test plans and strategies for functionality, integrity and regression testing of hardware with direction.

  • Participates in design reviews to produce a test plan and test cases

  • Responsible for creation, as well as, the execution of manual and automated test plans and procedures

  • Responsible for managing the test data corresponding to the testing approach applied

  • Troubleshoot defects and manage defect tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent, documented process is used and followed

  • Fully document any unexpected anomalies or defects identified in testing with the instruction of how to recreate each

  • Ensure that defects and failures are being appropriately communicated to development teams for correction

  • Work with technical resources to discuss and troubleshoot issues

  • Manage and execute testing approaches including System, Functional and Regression testing

  • Perform effective version control management in all aspects of documentation

  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge in electronics design including digital and analog circuits.

  • Knowledge in data acquisition setup and programming

  • Knowledge in Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)

  • Knowledge in Reliability testing practices

  • Knowledge in EMC Testing

  • Knowledge in data acquisition and instrumentation

  • Knowledge of electronics laboratory equipment

  • Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings
