Mon- Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Our business executes the daily operations of a federally regulated cultural exchange program which places young adults from around the world with American Host Families located across the country to provide child care services as a member of the family in exchange for experiencing life in the U.S.

Your role as a Placement Coordinator is to ensure our clients’ (Host Family and Au Pair) satisfaction, wellbeing, success and retention. This is a hybrid role supervising outside/remote customer service reps across the U.S. and working directly with clients. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and an open and creative approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities of the Placement Coordinator:

  • Educate clients on program regulations and company policies, addressing inquiries and providing information promptly.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a secondary contact for pre- and post-sale activities, and ensuring clients have a positive experience and achieve desired results.

  • Resolve client issues promptly, coordinating with other teams as needed, and proactively identify and solve potential challenges.

  • Assess client needs and match them with available Au Pair candidates.

  • Process client paperwork, including agreements, pricing quotes, invoices, collections, and refunds.

  • Supervise and support remote customer service reps, ensuring effective communication, performance in line with company standards, and increasing their industry knowledge.

  • Maintain knowledge of program regulations, company procedures, and industry events, and enforce Au Pair program regulations and company policies.

  • Retain existing customers, close new business, and maintain accurate records of communications and transactions with clients and remote reps.

Placement Coordinator Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of customer service experience

  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in any area

  • Previous sales experience is preferred

  • High school degree required (college degree preferred)

  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing

  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: professional, personable, effective under stress and deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, effectively prioritize and problem solve

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Computer literacy: email, data entry, CRM tools, Microsoft Office, e-signature tools, and ability to learn software quickly

  • Experience with salesforce.com or adobesign preferred, but not required

  • Possess a positive attitude, proactive approach to learning, present oneself professionally
