MFM Geneticist (Perinatology)

Intermountain Health is seeking a dual board certified MFM Geneticist to join our nationally renowned Maternal Fetal Medicine team, based in the Salt Lake Valley of Utah. We are an established team of 26 MFM partners with collegial, experienced support staff at our each of our facilities.

  • As an MFM Geneticist, you will guide our perinatal genetics program, including collaboration with four genetic counselors.

  • Position primarily focused on outpatient ultrasound and consultation at our diagnostic centersin the Salt Lake Valley.

  • Work may also be completed at Grant Scott Bonham Fetal Center (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/primary-childrens/programs-specialties/fetal-program/) , located on campus of Primary Children’s Hospital

  • Home call is negotiable. Responsibilities while on call include telephone and virtual consultation for Intermountain OB providers, medical direction, and triage of maternal transports throughout our system.

  • We are dedicated to our physicians building the practice model they desire within patient care needs. To that end, the MFM Geneticist has the option of participating in: inpatient management of antepartum service, in house call at Intermountain Medical Center, prenatal private clinic, supervision of MFM Fellows, medical students, obstetric and family medicine residents, research, quality improvement projects, and clinical appointments with the University of Utah.

  • AIUM-accredited program.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Medical Genetics

  • The ability to obtain an unrestricted Utah, Nevada, and Montana state license

  • U.S. ACGME Residency

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification

MFM At Intermountain

Our nationally renowned MFM Division serves patients and obstetric providers in seven states, provides comprehensive care of high-risk pregnancies, inpatient and outpatient consultation, high-level fetal ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, perinatal genetic services, and invasive fetal treatment.

The Maternal-Fetal Diagnostic Centers are located within four Intermountain Hospitals, with satellite clinics across Montana, Utah, and Nevada. The Division actively participates in collaborative clinical programs with the University of Utah.

Our MFM physicians fulfill vital administrative roles within Intermountain Health and serve as models of evidence-based care. Strong candidates will possess a solid commitment to education and those with research funding are provided with protected time. MFM physicians may apply for clinical appointments in the University of Utah Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine for the purpose of training and education of MFM fellows, OB/GYN residents, and medical students who rotate through our facilities. MFM physicians may also actively participate in training family medicine residents and medical and osteopathic students.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$7.25 - $999.99
