Munising Public Schools is accepting applications for TWO

part-time paraprofessional aides at William G. Mather Elementary to serve in the kindergarten classrooms. 

HOURS:

5.75 hours/day (28.75 hours/week)

RATE OF PAY:

$15.00 per hour

(starting)

Description:

1. Works with individual students or small groups of students to help them master skills as directed by the classroom teacher in the regular classroom or other designated places. 
2. Assists students with regular classroom assignments/skills. 
3. Maintains communication between the classroom teachers and other staff regarding student progress, concerns, needs, or other pertinent information. 
4. Assists teachers with managing children's behavior and promoting engagement.
5. Assists with personal needs of students as directed by the classroom teacher. 

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate (or equivalent). 
2. Background/experience working with elementary age students is preferred but not required. 
3. Willingness to be trained in instructional and social-emotional support strategies. 
4. Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality. 
5. Ability to lift students as necessary.
