Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of hospital rooms. This role involves extensive walking, cleaning duties, and the use of technology to complete daily assignments. The ideal candidate must be comfortable being on their feet all day and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Clean hospital rooms, focusing on discharges and sanitizing between patients.

• Wipe down equipment and surfaces.

• Empty trash and sweep floors.

• Clean up spills, mop, and sanitize as needed.

• Use issued iPhones to receive daily assignments and access cleaning tutorials.

• Learn the floor plan of a large hospital facility within a reasonable time frame.

Essential Skills

• Experience working with smartphone technology.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

• Comfortable with extensive walking and standing.

• High attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred: Previous experience in janitorial work, especially in healthcare.

• Consideration given to those with janitorial experience in other industries.

• GED/diploma is preferred.

Work Environment

The hospital is a very fast-paced #1 trauma center, which can be jarring for some individuals. Employees must be patient with the work environment, as the onboarding process can take a few weeks. The role requires working a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and major holidays. The dress code is typical for a hospital setting, prioritizing cleanliness and professionalism.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muncy, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00
