Clean Harbors Health and Safety Rep Gas & Oil Services Exp. Required in Muncy, Pennsylvania

Clean Harbors , in Muncy, PA is looking for a Health and Safety Representative to join our Oil & Gas Services business line. The Health and Safety role is one that involves collaboration and engagement in day-to-day operational activities with Clean Harbors personnel and client representatives to promote operational and safety excellence. The role involves daily participation in the Clean Harbors health and safety management system, supporting operational activities through a health and safety lens, collaborating with teams to conduct health and safety meetings, audits and inspections, conducting incident analysis, providing leading/lagging event trend analysis, and participating in developing continuous improvement plans.

The Health and Safety Supervisor assists with ensuring company compliance with state and federal safety policies and regulations and ensuring that work on client sites is in compliance with company and client safety requirements. The Health and Safety Supervisor role is one that involves active coaching and mentoring to promote and maintain a health and safety culture which is positive and sustainable.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Industrial setting – Oil and Gas field sites (well sites, shop locations, regional office locations).

  • Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions, observe safety conditions and assist in managing health and safety data (internal computer-based programs).

  • Assist operational management by ensuring employee safety training program are up to date and coordination of required training.

  • Assist operational teams with creation of JHA’s (job hazard analysis) and identification of appropriate and applicable adjustments to procedures.

  • Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations.

  • Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting.

  • Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance.

  • Establish relationships with client safety department.

  • Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments.

  • Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues.

  • Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible and related OHS experience in an oil and gas setting, specifically related to oil and gas exploration activities.

  • 3+ years of experience in oil and gas exploration activities.

  • OSHA 30 and Safety Management certification a plus

  • Education in Health and Safety-preferred (Certificate, Diploma, Degree)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfort with digital health and safety management tools and computer literacy.

  • Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Protection, and DISA standards.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
