Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Marketing Manager in Multiple Locations, United States

The Microsoft Power Platform product marketing team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager with a deep understanding of the IT Makers and Pro Developer audience. This role is pivotal in developing and executing audience and channel strategies to acquire, nurture, and engage this critical segment, driving interest and adoption of low-code solutions. The ideal candidate will possess content writing skills, audience intelligence, and extensive experience in market and competitive research, persona development, and channel management. They will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive impactful marketing initiatives. This is an exciting time to be in the Power Platform business!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive customer acquisition, product adoption and expansion.

  • Own competitive landscape and customer trends analysis. Develop deep knowledge of customer behavior and requirements across personas. Lead research initiatives including audience segmentation, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis and research readouts, to provide strategic insights.

  • Create compelling messaging and positioning that effectively positions Microsoft as a market leader and communicates the value and differentiation of our products to target audiences (ie. IT Decision Makers (ITDMs). ProDevelopers)

  • Build high-quality thought leadership and demand generation assets, including analyst and customer-facingpitch decks, integrated campaigns, skilling content, case studies, blogs, demos, and videos.

  • Influence product roadmaps by synthesizing industry, competitive, and customer insights into product inputs

  • Drive development of strategies (eg. positioning, pricing, packaging), in conjunction with the product, sales, and marketing teams, resulting in significant user and revenue growth

  • Enable thefield and sales teams through impactful enablement programs that support all sales cycle stages

  • Be a cross-organization, cross-functional leader and ensure the work we produce is cohesive and thoughtfully executed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years experience in product marketing and/or sales in software, cloud or IT industry with experience conducting technology competitive analysis or market research to make informed business decisions for executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years understanding of the IT Maker and/or Pro Developer landscape, including key trendsand opportunities.

  • Ability to transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.

  • Exceptional storytelling, content development and written communication skills, with a keen ability to communicate ideas effectively with executives teams and craft messages that resonate with technical audiences.

  • Experience in market research, competitive analysis, and persona development.

  • Solid analytical skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making and optimize marketing performance.

  • Results oriented team player who leads by exampleand takes absolute ownership

  • Experience working within global cross-group and matrixed team environments. 

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
