Microsoft Corporation Senior Event Marketing Manager, Security in Multiple Locations, United States

As Senior Event Marketing Manager, Security you will lead planning and execution of a mix of 1 st party (Microsoft-owned) and 3 rd party (Sponsored) events for Microsoft Security. You will lead a team of stakeholders that includes product marketers, sales, as well as agency & production partners to engage security decision makers and practitioners through in-person and digital events. Reporting to the Event Marketing Director for Microsoft Security, you and the Event Marketing team will help drive perception, create deep customer engagements, and influence the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate priority online / in-person event programs for Microsoft Security to create memorable experiences for key audiences

  • Lead planning, execution, results tracking & reporting for multiple events

  • Drive alignment across internal stakeholders and agency & production partners

  • Define event goals and scope of presence for each event property

  • Identify opportunities to expand presence and audience engagement through ancillary event activities

  • Work closely with the Narrative, Thought Leadership and Product Marketing Teams to define messaging and content featured

  • Work closely with Demand Generation teams to build event audience

  • Advocate for Microsoft Security to be properly represented among other CSAs (business units) at 1 st Party events

  • Maintain relationships with 3 rd party conference organizers and manage sponsorship contracts

  • Drive innovation and best practice, maintain awareness of event industry trends and competitive execution.

  • Travel for events across US and globally, 25%

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in experiential marketing, event management or integrated marketing (e.g. digital, relationship, social media, campaigns)

  • OR Master's in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in experiential marketing, event management or integrated marketing (e.g. digital, relationship, social media, campaigns),

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Expertise in strategy development, planning and execution of multiple in-person and/or digital events.

  • Demonstrated experience influencing a diverse set of stakeholders and driving impact through other teams.

  • Experience in managing budgets, timelines, and agency & production resources

  • Understanding of event analytics, KPIs and the ability to analyze and interpret data

  • Familiarity with platforms for event registration, meeting management, and digital event delivery

  • Commitment to lifelong learning, with a demonstrated orientation to continuous improvement

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
