We are currently looking for Modern Work & Copilot Technology Specialist professionals to join our teams across various business groups, for varying customer sizes, in our enterprise, regulated, and partner services organizations. As a Microsoft Modern Work & Copilot Technology Specialist (TS) , your main goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation by leveraging the Modern Workplace of Microsoft 365 and Surface. Modern Work & Copilot TSs are expected to be able to both own and win the customers technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and work they are on for field sales specialists to further pursue. You will also work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision allowing the team to achieve and even exceed quarterly Microsoft 365 suite, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Teams Calling, Meetings, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker, Viva, and OEM Meeting/Calling devices sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies.

By applying to this role, you will be considered for multiple opportunities within Microsoft across the United States including locations beyond where the role is posted. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home. Travel percentages will vary according to role.

Responsibilities

  • Domain Expertise You will demonstrate (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, and Proof of Concept sessions) Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Teams Premium, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva products, services, and integration; presenting and applying architecture patterns for design, development, configuration, and deployment/adoption/governance planning; applying sales methodologies; leveraging partner/customer teams as needed

  • Storytelling You will effectively communicate the narrative of Modern Work and Copilot's capabilities and the transformative impact on businesses and individuals.

  • Scale Customer Engagements You will be a trusted advisor and consultative technical seller with a growth mindset by developing and maintaining advanced to expert level delivery, discovery, demo, and whiteboarding skills.

  • Build Strategy You will provide strategic, technical input based on Microsoft capability at the account level to contribute to strategy development. You will share competitive insights from customer sessions with colleagues and escalate competitive situations to influence compete strategies.

  • Solution Design and Proof You will win the technical decision and intent by gaining a deep understanding of a customer’s business and differentiate Microsoft in complex selling environments by sharing insights, reframing the status quo, and quantifying business impact that motivates customers to take action. You will know when and how to escalate blockers, when to push back on customer objections, and how to unblock technical blockers with the customer.

  • Scale Through Partners: you will engage in partner sell-with scenarios by collaborating with partners to carry out technical engagement activities and acting as a source of trusted partner knowledge.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with developing and delivering customer demos/proof of conceptsfor productivity and collaboration-centric across competitive offerings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience

  • Proof of Concepts: Experience creating Customer solutions, assessing business need and delivering AI Proof of Concepts (PoC)/Pilots for customers ​that lead to production deployments.  

  • Cross organizational and functional collaboration skills to drive the optimal solution for the customer needs  

  • 4+ years experience working in a large matrixed, global technology company

  • 2+ years experience working on driving business transformation with AI

  • Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Microsoft 365, MS-900 Certification, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).

  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably with AI-powered products or services.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise customers' needs and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer success.

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a track record of achieving sales goals.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.

Technology Specialists IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.

Technology Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
