Position Summary : Supervises employees in a food processing and assembly environment, plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, operating procedures and working conditions.

Role Qualifications:

  • Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increase subordinates' skills and capabilities.

  • Must be able to assist Operations Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance management.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.

  2. Balances quality, productivity, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.

  3. Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides reports to the Operations Manager.

  4. Provides leadership through a 90-day probationary period.

  5. Performs accident investigations.

  6. Maintains proper inventory levels.

  7. Manages department priorities.

  8. Tracks time and attendance in KRONOS.

  9. Is responsible for all other duties as assigned. Reporting to this position are: • Leads• Hourly employees within the department

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

bachelor's or associate degree (A.A.) preferred . High School diploma or equivalent required; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
