ACCOUNT MANAGER- MSC/Specialty Products
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Account Manager will play a pivotal role in the development and expansion of Pilgrim’s processing plants, Protein plants, Wet Pet plants, MSC plants and strategic customers while implementing sales and purchasing plans to drive revenue growth, market penetration, build and maintain strong relationships with our partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sale all frames, backs & miscellaneous combo material from Pilgrims processing plants
Supply all internal Protein, Wet Pet and MSC raw materials
Purchase any raw material needed for Protein, Wet Pet and MSC plants
Identify potential customers and suppliers to cultivate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events.
Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
Responsible for not only compiling data, but also identifying opportunities, quantifying opportunities, and recommending improvements
Develop annual sales forecasts and prepare weekly analyses and reports that monitor and analyze sales activity and market trends
Identify potential customers and cultivate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal sales management, plant management, customer service representatives, FSQA team members and all other departments you may become associated with while in this role including external customers.
Act as liaison between plants, transportation and sales for edible and inedible plants
Any other task or project as required by Management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience
Proven track record of success in sales and or purchasing
Comfortable communicating with senior level managers
Excellent planning and management skills; ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines.
Good analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Must be able to travel up to 15%
