As the Manager, Software and Service Engineering , you will be pivotal in maximizing the value of ServiceNow to streamline IT/Business processes, enhance service delivery, and drive innovation within the organization. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills and has prior ServiceNow implementation experience. As a leader, you consistently evaluate our current processes and are always on the lookout for new, faster, and more efficient ways to build creative and innovative solutions to healthcare problems and opportunities.

This is a hybrid position with onsite days required.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the implementation of ServiceNow modules and applications (ITOM, ITAM,SPM, CMDB/CSDM, etc.) to improve service delivery.

  • Hire, mentor, coach, and lead a team of engineers to deliver on short and long-term organizational goals.

  • Guide and support the engineering team throughout the entire product/service life cycle from ideation, design, build, test, deploy as well as the on-going run, grow, and transform activities.

  • Identify and execute on opportunities to mature self-service engineering practices through automation, continuous code deployment and integrated security.

  • Drive continuous improvement by championing modern engineering practices such as configuration/infrastructure as code and automated testing with a goal to provide consistency, quality, and reduced time to market.

  • Drive, execute and lead your teams with a relentless 'Focus on Customer' - always looking for ways to improve the Customer experience.

  • Lead with an ownership and data driven mentality with focus on monitoring and instrumenting all aspects of application/services and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand their needs and priorities.

  • Ensure ServiceNow solutions meet business requirements and deliver expected outcomes.Monitor and analyze ServiceNow performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Resolve impediments and align priorities with team across the enterprise as well as with external groups and partners.

  • Act as technical and business leader sharing knowledge, and expertise on business case development, Requests for Proposal (RFP), and vendor negotiation activities.

  • Accountable for ensuring that team adheres to Premera's System/Software/Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Practices and Engineering Standards.

  • Manage multiple deliverables and partner across the enterprise to influence direction, decisions, and priorities as needed. Identify risks to successful execution across all departments. Ensure timely resolution of issues within area of responsibility.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or four (4) years’ experience in information technology (required)

  • 6 years’ experience in information technology, application development, system administration/engineering, or systems development which includes previous program or team leadership experience (required)

  • Familiarity with other ServiceNow modules (HR, GRC, ITBM, etc.) (strongly preferred)

  • ServiceNow implementation experience (strongly preferred)

  • Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and/or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certifications are highly desirable.

  • Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.

  • Experience with cloud-based IT infrastructure and services.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

National Salary Range:

$112,900.00 - $191,900.00

National Plus Salary Range:

$128,700.00 - $218,800.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska .
