The role

Sitting within the GenAI programs, this role is part of the post-training programs team. This team leads operational design and execution across the post-training area. Collaborating closely with researchers and product teams, the team focuses on delivering the best models and research innovations.

In this role you will be responsible for running the operations across a variety of initiatives and set programs up for long term success. Working with partners across the teams, you’ll build structure, efficiency, and simply complexity.

Key responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate workstream reviews.

  • Track workstream statuses, coordinate and prepare informational updates for stakeholders.

  • Provide operational support to workstreams, including tracking approvals, recording workstream details, and managing membership changes.

  • Regularly audit and update mailing groups and chat room participants to maintain accurate communication channels.

  • Efficiently manage access requests, adhering to predefined policies.

  • Proactively identify process gaps and propose improvements when applicable, with a focus on process automations.

  • Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency to manage and audit compute usage, ensure efficient resource allocation and propose process automations when applicable.

  • Willingness to work overlapping hours with European time zones to facilitate collaboration and support.

    About you

You will be driving execution and operations within the LLM Model Training space. This role is a great fit for someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, excel at operational efficiency, not afraid of ambiguity, and passionate in process improvement.

In order to set you up for success as a Program Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 2 years of experience in program management

In addition, the following would be an advantage:

  • Technical proficiency to manage compute usage. Solid understanding of compute allocation principles.

  • Experience with stakeholder management and communication

  • Experience in identify and implementing process automation when applicable

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $122,000 - $186,000 + bonus + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
