Intuit Principal Technical Program Manager in Mountain View, California

Overview

Come join the Small Business & Self-Employed Group’s (SBSEG) Product TPM team, as a Principal Technical Program Manager. The SBSEG Product TPM team’s mission is to accelerate the outcomes for our Quickbooks product-line by driving for clarity among chaos and uniting cross-functional teams to operate with velocity. In this role, you will lead program management for our Quickbooks Shared Experiences team, whose goal is to drive innovation and adoption of common experiences across the Quickbooks ecosystem. We are looking for candidates who have strong program management experience with deep technical understanding, customer empathy, strong execution capability, and a track record of building strong business partnerships and delivering impactful business results.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of Program Management experience driving a portfolio of multiple SaaS programs simultaneously across several teams and sites

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives as well as engineers

  • Ability to rally teams behind your execution plan, communicate a clear story of challenges and opportunities, and align executive teams on program outcomes

  • Experience driving program outcomes in an Agile/Scrum based environment, balancing the desire of date driven business outcomes and prioritization-based development outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and influence at all levels, building strong partnerships across the organization for delivery of best outcomes

  • Experience driving large horizontal programs impacting user experience innovation preferred

How you will lead

Portfolio

  • Strong strategic partnership with Engineering and Product Leaders to deliver amazing customer innovations with velocity and provide technical guidance and focus across an organization

  • Ability to quickly come up to speed and scale large portfolio of high priority deliverables independently

  • Understand the product and technology landscape and connect the dots across various programs within a portfolio to simplify the ‘why/what/how’

  • Ability to implement durable program structure and executional rigor across the portfolio, simplifying processes enabling the org to operate smoothly

  • Strong communication skills providing portfolio progress to Senior Leaders

Program

  • Drive cross-functional execution of one or more programs in the portfolio establishing program operating rhythms, leading cross-functional meetings and fostering collaboration

  • Drive creation of program roadmaps and execution plans across all phases of planning, development, and production readiness and launch

  • Quickly and effectively, identify and clarify the critical issues and dependencies that need action and drive them through to closure. Communicate results clearly and in actionable form. Effectively balance business needs versus technical constraints

  • Communicate progress across the organization and at all levels; includes program status, risks, dependencies and change control

General

  • Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model

  • Thrive in establishing order and clarity amongst ambiguity and chaos

  • Work well with others when conflicts arise, with ability to influence others to work towards desired outcomes
