Google Outbound Product Manager, Open Models Ecosystems and Partnerships in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 3 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within artificial intelligence or Machine Learning (AI or ML).

  • Experience in external facing role with Machine Learning context.

  • Experience in developer relations or developer advocacy, and with coding.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.

  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.

  • Experience building and managing go-to-market programs for AI or machine learning products.

  • Knowledge of AI models and their applications (e.g., web, on-device).

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will help lead the future of Google’s efforts in landing open models in the open ecosystem, maximizing mindshare and adoption, and working to discover and promote new cases for Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI models.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Drive development and secure buy-in for a product idea that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction.

  • Lead and harmonize processes to define, identify, collect, and track appropriate product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative for new or existing products or business ventures.

  • Leverage research of the ML developer community and the broader AI landscape to anticipate future needs and trends, and drive regular reporting on metrics, performance, and feedback to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with teams to create campaigns, content, and initiatives to drive awareness and adoptions, craft messaging, track metrics, and make continuous optimizations.

  • Present at external events, build relationships with key stakeholders, build awareness of Google's open models, and cultivate strategic partnerships.
