Insight Global Network Engineer/Test in Mountain View, California

Job Description

We are looking for a Network engineer to join a growing team. Focuses on network related projects to support, network expansion, market growth, network optimization/upgrades, new product introductions, network security and process initiatives.

Core focus areas:

Support wireline POC activities.

  • DZS and Ciena mOLTs.

  • QFX5130-32cd as SAG for full size OLT.

  • Documentation support for MF2 NPI

  • Metro Expansion support

  • Help with HLD/LLD/Hilbert Inventory, IPDB, BOM for ATL, HSV and DEN metro

  • Assist with new metro and hut deployments

Deployment Work:

  • Audit IPDB/Hilbert against HLD/LLD diagrams

  • Generate configurations and MOPs

  • Troubleshoot issues if NOC escalates

  • Read, follow, and improve processes and documentation

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+yrs within a Network Engineer role

  • Background testing Juniper Devices (mpls,bgp, IP SEC)

  • Strong ability to understand Network protocols (general ISP related protocols is a major plus)

  • Having worked on projects related to scalable networks and testing networks performance

  • Help with documentation when the project proceeds to Field Trial phase.

  • Automate customer provisioning (for OLTs) and bring up ONTs with required QoS configs etc.

  • Strong understanding of network testing (Ixia, IxNetwork, IxLoad)

  • generate IPv4/v6 BGP,create MPLS LSP, generate "flow-based" - Create test plan, build test bed, work with vendor to configure the new device.

  • Complete POC test plan and work with vendor to resolve any issues.

  • Document reference configuration, build EMS templates as necessary.

  • Help with documentation when the project proceeds to Field Trial phase.

  • Any past experience doing network Automation test work null
