We are seeking a Distinguished Engineer to lead architecture initiatives within our Fintech platform organization. This role requires a visionary leader who can provide technical guidance, influence future product direction, and build highly efficient teams. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing a Fintech platform that creates network effects between consumers and SMBs across our Intuit and third-party ecosystems.
What you'll bring
Over 10 years of experience in architectural design and implementation of enterprise solutions in Fintech, eCommerce, insurance, security, and networking on a global scale, utilizing both cloud and on-premise infrastructures
Extensive hands-on experience (10+ years) in the payment industry, with a strong focus on the design and implementation of payment platforms, including payment ledger, settlement, balance, wallet, and integration with card processors and banks
Proven experience in card issuance, card tokenization, and 3DS (3-D Secure) solutions
Proven leadership skills, capable of balancing short-term goals while inspiring and coaching for long-term success
Demonstrated success in building high-throughput, high-performance transactional systems.
Expertise in API design, security and merchant integrations
Experienced in organizing architecture boards, evaluating solutions, and making technical decisions
Proficiency in modern technology stacks, including microservices, API gateways, public cloud, storage, and observability
Expertise in Agile development and SCRUM methodologies
Experience in building and managing high-performing engineering organizations is a huge plus
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $297,500 - $402,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits) (https://www.intuit.com/careers/benefits/full-time-employees/) . Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. How you will lead
Serve as the domain expert in payments, bringing extensive knowledge to guide teams through every phase of the development cycle. This includes researching, evaluating, designing, and implementing payment solutions within the Fintech platform, covering payment ledger, settlement, balance, and orchestration with external payment processors and banks
Provide technical vision and consultation to leaders, aiding in strategic decision-making
Serve as a key member of the architecture board, organizing the architecture forum, and standardizing the review process
Influence the future direction of products by contributing to frameworks and open-source technologies used across multiple systems
Build a strong, highly efficient team by setting and promoting a clear vision, offering facilitative leadership, attracting and retaining key talent, and mentoring rising leaders within the engineering organization
Strong technical documentation and presentation skills to effectively communicate architectural and design options, educating development teams, business users
