About the Team PACCAR Electronics organization, which serves Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF, is a rapidly expanding organization that is transforming the way control systems and software are developed for commercial vehicle applications. Job Summary The PACCAR Electronics Team is seeking a talented and driven engineer to contribute to the development, troubleshooting, and documentation of embedded software, hardware, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches for PACCAR's powertrain, digital display, and vehicle management systems. In this role, you will collaborate with a global team of PACCAR Electronics engineers, including colleagues from Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF, all while being based at the PACCAR Technical Center. Your work will be vital in ensuring the reliability and performance of embedded systems across our fleet. What You'll Do Create and document HIL electrical systems and control algorithms using dSPACE hardware, MATLAB/Simulink in a model-based design environment, and Microsoft Visio. Engage in Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) to deliver embedded software solutions that meet customer specifications, utilizing various development tools (MATLAB/Simulink, GIT, Java, C++, Embedded Linux, Python, C#, and Kanzi for UX/UI design). Revise and enhance system and component technical specifications for digital displays and vehicle embedded software based on evolving product and customer requirements. Collect data and assess system performance by using test equipment and standard electrical engineering lab tools for the verification and validation of embedded software products. Conduct troubleshooting and perform first-line diagnosis of issues, including detailed root-cause analysis, problem resolution, and defect reporting. Cultivate professional relationships based on collaboration, respect, integrity, and trust. Required Qualifications Third or fourth year of bachelor's degree completed (graduation date 2025 - 2026) in one of the following STEM disciplines: Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Software, Mechanical), Science, or related field.
