Requisition Summary

PACCAR has an exciting Human Resources summer internship opening at our PACCAR Technical Center in Mt. Vernon, WA. The selected candidate will work directly with HR professionals, gaining exposure and experience in multiple HR functions. As a Human Resources Intern you will:

• Learn first-hand from top industry professionals

• Work directly with Managers and Senior Managers

• Develop mentoring relationships with HR leaders

• Gain valuable hands-on experience

• Expand your professional network

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Assist with roll out of PACCAR's new time and leave system

• Provide customer service to internal and external customers; Answer PTC HR Inbox

• Participation in organizing company events: Company picnic, Intern Ride and Drive, Ice Cream Social

• Bereavement and Jury Duty Management

• Support Leave Management

• Coordinate soft skill trainings for managers and employees

• Participate in continuous improvement activities

• Create marketing materials and other communications for the HR SharePoint and Communication Boards

• Manage/participate in special projects as assigned

• Participate in job and department duties and processes as assigned

Qualifications / Skills

• Must have ability to handle confidential information appropriately

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities or deadlines

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor

• Proven customer service skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program, preferably graduating in 2025.

  The salaries for intern positions are as follows:

• Undergraduate Enrollment - $25 / hour

• Graduate Enrollment - $30 / hour
