As a Supervisor 1, Distribution, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership and organizational skills, while assisting and sharing knowledge with distribution associates. As well, you will have the chance to ensure quality, while looking for ways to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's systems, processes, and tools.
You are responsible for
Managing as Physical Distribution Manager in full, usually through several subordinate supervisors, the activities of a small physical distribution unit, or manages a small group of individual skilled physical distribution specialists (typically in job grades 40-45)
Has responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing
Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
Pre actively recommends changes to his physical distribution unit policies
Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
Typically reports to senior physical distribution management level incumbents
Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups
Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules. Is involved in budget preparation

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Bachelor’s degree. Will consider years of experience in lieu of degree
3+ years of experience leading a team
5+ years of experience within Manufacturing or Distribution
Experience documenting/running reports within SAP and working with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience leading projects or being part of a change team
Ability to work cross functionally with multiple teams/groups
